AnonymousIn 5 of the rehearsal rooms I am running the absolutely amazing Mackie SRM450s - Click on the link to check them out.
In the big rehearsal room ( I have some fantastic Yorkvilles with two foldback speakers
In the other two rooms I have some super sounding Peavys
Yamaha Desks and Mackie desks w/ effects in all rooms.

Before it became The Hen House Rehearsal Studio’s I worked here for 7 years under its previous name of RNR studios. Over that 7 years the single biggest complaint was the state of the toilets. They were pretty scarey.
Im happy to report that after an extensive upgrade of everything the toilet makeover is complete and looking awesome…A new paint job…some retiling…New Toilet seats and some brilliant artwork by my main man John Foley!

The old room 8 had been rented out as a permenant room for the past few years. Gyroscope wrote and Demoed ‘Are You Invokved’ in this room way back in 05. We Are The Emergencey then took it over before Over Unity and The White Lanterns. Its an awesome energetic room but was in need of some serious love.
So a big part of what Im trying to create here @ The Hen House is Rehearsal Rooms that have a great vibe and feel as well as great equipment. When the room feels great and comfortable…It puts you in a better headspace to write and jam. Eventually every room will have a full wall mural in it.
The above mural was done by the super talented Alexander who I met whilst buying spray cans at the paint shop. Thankyou Xander!!!

I just had to post this text msg from a band that jammed at THH for the 1st time last night…
“Wanted to commend you for an amazing rehearsal space. We felt right at home, the equipment was above standard, and we were really impressed with the way we were greeted as we walked in and shown where to go. The front sign has just gone up!!! Once again the artistic talents of Mr Ryan Smith have been used. Feels great to finally have the sign up!!!
The PAs are getting mounted on the walls! Creates heaps more space and makes the PAs sound even better!!!

Today marks the beginning of The Hen House “Free Throw Contest”
I’ve had the basketball ring installed for a while down at the studio and think it’s time to see which bands have the best Bball skills.
The rules are simple - shoot from behind the gold free throw line. - most consecutive free throw wins. - the winner recieves a tasty carton of Heiniken!
