It started off as a simple idea.
Lets make benches for The Hen House out of old railway sleepers.
Id seen something similar at one of my fave bars Clarence’s and much like the movie inception, the idea was planted.
Fast forward to the reality of a bloke that ain’t that great with power tools (ME!) and the fact that 40year old Jarrah railway sleepers are bloody hard to work with and the adventure of creating these benches definitely took alot longer than expected…
16 Sanding belts later, 3 coats of varnish later some great advice off Ryan from We Are The Emergency I finally got the sleepers looking good…
It was then with the help of my good buddy Shauno from a great band Anime Fire who came in and helped slice dice and put these benches together.
They turned out absolutely awesome and there will be lots of comfortable bums @ The Hen House from now on, and that can only be a good thing!
